Sea Life Scarborough is an aquarium filled with amazing marine creatures from around the world. Opened in 1991, it is home to sharks, turtles, penguins, otters, and hundreds of colourful fish. Students can walk through underwater tunnels, watch feeding sessions, and learn how the centre helps protect ocean wildlife. It’s a fun and interactive way to explore life under the sea.
The Scarborough Spa Footbridge is one of the town’s most recognisable landmarks. Built in 1827, it was one of the first iron suspension bridges in Europe and gave Victorian visitors easy access to the seaside. Students can walk across the bridge to enjoy great views of South Bay and see how Scarborough became England’s first seaside resort.
Scarborough Beach is one of the most famous in England, with two sweeping bays — North Bay and South Bay. Loved since Victorian times, it made Scarborough the country’s first seaside resort. Today, students can enjoy golden sand, traditional fish and chips, amusement arcades, and stunning sea views, making it the perfect spot for a classic British beach day.
