At our school, your safety and wellbeing are our top priority. We want you to feel happy, safe and supported during your time with us.
All staff who work with students under 18 are trained in safeguarding. We follow UK child protection laws and British Council rules. All adults who work with students under 18 have been checked by the UK government. This check makes sure they are safe to work with young people.

Safeguarding means:
Protecting you from harm
Listening to you
Taking your concerns seriously
Helping you if something feels wrong
You have the right to feel safe at school, in your accommodation, and during activities.
You should speak to an adult if:
Someone makes you feel uncomfortable
You feel unsafe at school, in your homestay, or online
Someone asks you to keep a secret that feels wrong
You see something that worries you
It is always okay to tell us.
You will never be in trouble for speaking up.
You can talk to:
Your teacher
Your group leader
The Activity Manager
The Accommodation Officer
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Email: Nina at the email address above or come to reception and ask to speak to the Safeguarding Team.
If you need urgent help outside school hours, we provide a 24-hour emergency number.
We will:
Listen carefully
Stay calm
Take you seriously
Decide how best to help you
Keep your information private (unless we need to share it to keep you safe)
Our job is to protect you.
This is a safe place to be and we will look after you!
Please remember:
Do not share personal information with strangers
Do not meet someone in person that you met online
Tell us if you receive messages that make you uncomfortable
We can help.
We expect all students and staff to treat each other with respect.
Bullying, discrimination and unsafe behaviour are not accepted.
If something is not right — tell us.
We want you to be happy in school and bullying will not be tolerated in any form (religious, cultural, race, gender, sexual orientation). If you bully someone this is very serious and you may be sent home.
If you feel someone is bullying you, tell your group leader or the welfare officer. Read more about our policy
